NFL Football: The Jacksonville Jaguars emerged in 1993.

Kingsley Plantation: Located on Fort George Island, just north of Atlantic Beach on A1A, Kingsley Plantation features a glimpse at old slave quarters, barn, a garden, kitchen house and exhibits of pre-civil war legislation. In 1998, the plantation marked its 200th year.
Buccaneer Trail: Historic trail tour traces the steps of
Timucuan Indians, French and Spanish settlers and
swashbuckling pirates. See Florida's natural beauty and
culture along the trail that starts in Amelia Island, the
northern most point of the trail, and passes along A1A
through Atlantic, Neptune, Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra
beaches and ends in St. Augustine.

Biking, walking, and running: The beach is made for these activities and bike rentals are available year-round, so all you need for a great trip is a pair of shoes. Explore numerous nature trails ideal for spying indigenous wildlife like raccoons, ospreys, herons, opossums and alligators.
Also try Amelia Island and Little Talbot Island. Amelia is only 2.5 miles across and filled with numerous protected saltwater marshes in addition to 13 miles of beautiful beaches, including Fernandina Beach.
